Janice Henderson (“Moose”), 75, of Shreveport, passed away on February 14, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Born June 1, 1950, to Reacey Moore Henderson, she was the middle of seven siblings. She graduated from Walnut Hill High School in 1968 and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Grambling State University.
Janice retired in 2017 after 42 years with BellSouth/AT&T, where she held several managerial roles and retired as an Engineer. She was a devoted member of Hollywood Presbyterian Church, Living Word Christian Fellowship Church, and Light Hill Baptist Church. She was pleased to serve in multiple ministries and was honored for three consecutive years as part of the highest fundraising Friends and Family Team in Northwest Louisiana through Telephone Pioneers of America.
She was preceded in death by her mother, grandmother, and several beloved relatives.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Yolanda Davis of Baton Rouge, LA, and Rashaunda Henderson of Plano, TX; granddaughter Tarynn Tigue; her siblings; and a host of extended family and friends.
Janice will be remembered for her faith, service, warmth, and unwavering love.
