Mrs. Rose R. Brown

Rose Antionette Rachal Brown was born on April 27,1948 to the late Anthony and Bernadine LaCour Rachal in Natchitoches, LA.   Rose was the eldest daughter of four children.  She was baptized, received her first Holy Communion, Confirmed, and married at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Shreveport.   Following her 8th grade graduation from Our Lady, Rose attended Notre Dame High School. Followed by business school.

Rose met and married the love of her life, the late James Brown, and gave birth to three children, Anthony, Peter and Jennifer. 

She spent the great majority of her career at South Central Bell Telephone company until her retirement.  She went on to work at Christus Schumpert Hospital until her retirement from there. 

Rose was a devout Catholic, a member of the Christian Mothers at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Natchez, La., and worked tirelessly as a fundraiser on the New Church Committee at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament.  

Rose was predeceased by her parents, husband, and two sons.  

She is survived by her daughter Jennifer Brown Germany.  Grandchildren, Dominique Dennis (Justin)  Anaya Germany and Madison Brown. Two great grandchildren, Tyler Joseph Dennis and Peyton Noelle Dennis, her brother and two sisters, Charles Rachal (Agnes), Sylvia Rachal Crook (Eugen) and Frances Antoine (late Roland Antoine).  Her niece and nephews Jade Dishman (Wayne), Matthew Wells (Arieal), and John Rachal (Dawn). 

Services will be held at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church beginning with the Rosary at10:00am and the funeral Mass at 10:30. The Very Rev.  Msgr. Rothell Price presiding.
