Frankie Bell Fields was born to Mariah Estella Fields and William McKinley Fields on March 22, 1936. Her Christian family resided in Keithville, Louisiana. She was the last child born in a family of siblings which included sisters Ora Lee, Estella, Doris, and Mattie, and one brother, Carey all who preceded her in death.
Frankie experienced many beautiful milestones in her life. Among them was her graduation from Booker T. Washington High School, the birth of her devoted son, Willie Ray Jackson, and her marriage to her late husband, James (Jimmy) Wynne. Frankie and Jimmy eventually made their home in Oakland, California where they lived for several decades. Frankie genuinely enjoyed life. She loved fashion, beautiful hats, traveling, caring for her spoiled dog(s), and helping others. She had a very generous spirit and was always willing to help, and to share with others.
From the time that Frankie confessed Christ at an early age, she consistently worshipped God and regularly attended and supported her church. She attended Greater St. Paul church in Oakland, California. There she served as an active member for many years. After retirement from the Oakland Public School System, Frankie and Jimmy relocated to Shreveport, Louisiana. There she became an active member of Zion Baptist Church until her health failed. During Frankie’s illness, she was cared for by her son, Willie Ray Jackson, and his wife Maggie Jackson.
Frankie B. (Fields) Wynne leaves to cherish her memory her son, Willie Ray Jackson (Maggie), grandchildren, Belva P. Jackson, and Reginald Corey Jackson (Jennifer), great-grandchildren ShonCore Jackson, Jordan Isaiah Jackson, Raya Danielle Jackson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
