Mrs. Barbara J. Thomas

Celebration of life services for Mrs. Barbara Thomas, 70, will be 11 a.m., Monday, July 9, 2018 at Greenwood Acres FGBC North Location , 2800 N.Hearne Ave.  Pastor Fred Caldwell, officiating.  Interment will follow at Lincoln Cemetery.  Open visitation from 12 noon. to 6 p.m..  Family hour  from  6 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Heavenly Gates.
Mrs. Thomas entered into eternal rest on July 4, 2018 in Fort Worth, Texas after a brief illness. She was affectionately known to many as "BJ",  "Bobbie Joe", "BT" and "MiMi".  Mrs. Thomas was a 36 year retiree from Caddo Parish School System where she taught at Linear School.
She is survived by her parents; Esther & Jessie Mae Monroe, children; Carmen Salone (Kevin) and Burl Thomas (Delilah), four grandchildren,  a special friend; Isreal Golden, Jr. 2 sisters, 2 brothers, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
