It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Taurean Lamar Thomas, who entered eternal rest on December 23, 2024, at the age of 38.
Taurean, a cherished father, son, brother, and friend, will forever be remembered for his boundless creativity, passion for music, and exceptional talent that left a lasting impact on all who crossed his path. A true multitalented artist, Taurean excelled in songwriting, rapping, singing, boxing, and dancing. He not only wrote and produced his own music, but his songs also graced local radio stations, demonstrating his commitment to his craft. Whether in the studio, on stage, or behind the scenes, Taurean's work reflected his heart, and he pursued his passions with unwavering dedication. His journey led him to catch the attention of a local manager affiliated with Sony Records, who recognized his extraordinary potential.
Above all, Taurean was a proud and devoted father, leaving behind his beloved children, A.). (deceased), Ja Bravean, Gabriel, and Shamyia, whom he cherished deeply. He was the devoted son of Donald Colman and Shirley Thomas, and the loving sibling of Jemalyeous Thomas and Chardonnay Thomas. His family treasures the memories of the love, laughter, and unwavering support they shared with him. Taurean was preceded in death by his grandparents Melvin Thomas, RL Lewis, and Tina Colman. His beloved grandmother, Ola Lewis, is the only surviving grandparent., as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who were privileged to know him. Part of one of Louisiana's largest and most loving families, Taurean leaves behind more than 100 cousins, all of whom will carry his memory with deep affection. His uncles-Joe Lewis, Pat White, Greg Lewis, Robert Walter, Eral Walter, Pervis Lewis, and Willie Walter-and aunts-Linda White, Elizabeth Lewis, Donna Lewis, Minnie Walter, and Susie Green-will forever hold Taurean in their hearts with love.
Though his life was tragically cut short, his music, his love, and his inspiring legacy will live on. We unite to celebrate his life, share memories, and keep his spirit alive in our hearts. Rest in peace, Taurean. Your music, your love, ana your vibrant spirit will never be forgotten.
