For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. 2 Timothy 4: 6- 8
Joseph Williams, affectionately known as Bull, began his life journey on Friday, January 13, 1950, in Shreveport, Louisiana to Daniel Williams, Jr. and Virginia McKinney Young. He was blessed to be the oldest of seven children.
Joseph was educated in the Caddo Parish school system graduating from Valencia High School. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by his grandfather, the late Pastor Daniel Williams, Sr. at the Bossier Baptist Church of Bossier City, Louisiana.
Joseph displayed a strong love for his family which caused him to never leave Shreveport. In 1978, Joseph married his soulmate, the apple of his eye, Earnestine Wade who he affectionately called Momma whom he loved and adored.
Joseph employment career spanned nearly 50 years in the funeral industry. He developed a love for the industry working for J.S. Williams Funeral Home, Winnfield Funeral Home, Wilbert Vault Company, Good Samaritan Funeral Home, and Osborne Funeral Home. He was affiliated with Heavenly Gates Funeral Home, where he shared his vast knowledge of the funeral service industry, until his health failed.
