The celebration of life honoring Mr. Barrow Young, Sr., 85, will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 12:00 high noon in the sanctuary of Mount Olive Baptist Church, Greenwood, Louisiana with Pastor Marcus Ellison officiating.
Mr. Young will rest until The Master returns in Mount Olive Cemetery. Family hour will be from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of Mount Olive Baptist Church.

Our beloved husband and father, Barrow Young, Sr. was born on September 10, 1932 in Greenwood, Louisiana to the late Andrew Young and Rebecca Myles Young. He attend the Mount Olive Public School System.
He peacefully slipped away from us on June 05, 2018 with his wife and children by his bedside.
At the age of 20, Barrow met a young girl by the name of Cordie Hays and the love story began. They united in Holy matrimony, which brought about 65 years of marriage. With this union, five blessing of joyful lives arrived; Verna (Bunny), Andrew, Barrow, Jr. (White), Monte (Crisco) and Rena (Boojack).
He was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Young, mother, Rebecca Young: four brothers, Fred Young, Nathaniel Young, Cardell Young and Ossie Myles: two sister, Lottie B. Hayes and Jannie Hillard; one grandson, Zachary Drayden.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories, a wife, Cordie Hays Young; five children, Verna Young-Davis (Leonard) of Bethany, LA, Andrew Young ( Berthander deceased) of Shreveport, LA, Barrow Young, Jr. (Denise) of Tucson, AZ, Rev. Monte Young (Bonnie) of Bossier City, LA and Ivy Rena Young-Melius (Jerry deceased) of Shreveport, LA. Two brother, Martell Young Sr. of Bethany, LA and Wendell Young, Sr. (Nellie) of Dallas, TX; 18 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and many sweet loving nieces, nephews and friends.
