Celebration of life honoring the long and beautiful life of Mother Leola Belton Baylor, 109, will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the sanctuary of Springfield Baptist Church, with Pastor Jimmy R. Mahoney officiating.
Mother Baylor will rest peacefully until The Master returns in the gardens of Union Forbing Cemetery. Open visitation will be on Friday at Heavenly Gates.
Mrs. Baylor was born in Converse, Louisiana on May 19, 1909 to Mrs. Annie Martin and Mr. Hilton Belton, Sr. She transitioned from labor to rest and reward on May 26, 2018 at home surrounded by her family.
During her lifetime she served as a cook and a nanny.
She is survived by her granddaughters Jackie Bowers and Fayetta Williams and a host of other grandchildren. She also is survived by her niece Jo-Ann Richards.
