J.D. Blackshire Obituary

Celebration of life services for Mr. J.D. Blackshire, 69, will be 11 a.m, Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Bossier Baptist Church, 809 Hamilton Rd., Rev. Arthur Brooks, officiating. Interment will follow at Filmore Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 6 to 7 pm at Bossier Baptist Church, Bossier City.

Mr. Blackshire entered into eternal rest on April 3, 2018 after a brief illness.

He is survived by his wife; Ellen Blackshire, 2 daughters; Tammy West, and Allison Rice, 6 sons; Kenneth (Cheryl) Blackshire, Harold & Terry (Ruby) West , Paul (Roshunda) Shelmon, Jasper and Roger (Darlene) O'neal, 1 brother, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
