Mrs. Mary A. Petteway

SHREVEPORT, LA

­­­­­­Mrs. Mary A. Petteway transitioned on June 3, 2017, at Willis Knighton Bossier Medical Center.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 9, 2017, 1:00 PM, at Paradise Baptist Church, 1706 Hollywood Avenue.  Pastor Robert Hudson, officiating.

Interment will follow in Zion Rest Cemetery.

Open visitation will be held on Thursday, June 8, at Heavenly Gates Funeral Home.

Mrs. Petteway is survived by her husband, Hershell Petteway; mother, Betty Pollard; father, Ivory Williams, Sr.; five daughters, Regina Dias (Milton, Sr.), Micshell Williams (Daniel), Bridget Petteway, LaKeydra Petteway, and LaKrystle Hale(Tyler, Sr.); one sister, Melissa Jones (Tony); twelve grandchildren. Brittiannia, Shanese, Milton, Jr., Rukiaya, Tyler, Jr., Carlos, Tia, Brooklyn, Trenton, Cai'Rie, Sierra, and Collin; three neices; two nephews; and a host of relatives and friends.  

She was proceeded in death by four family members; Lessie Bradford, Lubretta Green Williams, Corene Bradford, and Anthony Williams.

Honoring Mrs. Petteway as pallbearers will be, Honorary Pallbearers:  Milton Dias, Daniel Moore Carlos Williams, Tony Jones, Tyler Hale, Peter Williams, Raymond Williams, and Micheal Williams; Active Pallbearers:  Shawn Green, Greg Lyrse, Henry Wright, and Earl T. Kendrick.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all who have shared acts of kindness during the transition of Mrs. Petteway. A special thank you to Magnolia Manor, Life Care Staff, People's First Outreach, Willis Knighton Bossier, Christus Highland Hospital, Easter Seals Louisiana, Sam Jones and Stephanie Owens.
