­­­­­­Mr. Worth Charlie Broom, Jr., transitioned on January 8, 2017, at Willis Knighton North Medical Center in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2017, 12:00 Noon, at St. Luke CME Church, 2110 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.  Pastor Gregory Hudson, officiating.

Interment will follow in Round Grove Memorial Gardens.

Open visitation will be held between the hours of 12:00 & 8:00 PM on Friday, January 13, at Heavenly Gates Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife; Ernestine Broom, children; Worth Broom, Billy Broom (Audrey), Sherriel Owens (Gaines), Susizan Porter (Louis), Roger Broom (Deborah), Mark Broom (Gloria), Gwendolyn Rowan, 4 sisters; Dorothy Player, Cecile Thompson, Carrie Broom, Mahailier Broom, 2 brothers; Richard Broom (Elina) and Henry Broom, 23 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
