Mr. George Wilson

SHREVEPORT, LA

Mr. George Wilson transitioned on February 9, 2017, at Life Care Hospital in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017, 1:00 PM, at Lake Bethlehem Baptist Church, 2842 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive.  Pastor Dennis Everette, officiating.

Interment will follow in Lake Bethlehem Cemetery.

The family will receive friends between the hours of 12:00 & 8:00 PM on Friday, February 17, at Heavenly Gates Funeral Home.

Mr. Wilson served the Caddo Parish School System for over 30 years as a teacher, assistant principal and principal before retiring. He held life memberships in Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity and Grambling Alumni Association. Community service included the Cooper Road Volunteer Fire Department, Kiwanis Club, Masonic Lodge and board member for Caddo Parish Sewerage District #7.

He is survived by his wife Maggie Lee Hunter Wilson; son, Cedric George Wilson (Melanie) of Sugar Land, TX, and children, Cedric Arlington George Wilson, Madison Nicole Wilson, and Christopher Rogers (Regina); cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
